MORE: Dynamic Dozen |  Larry Brown says going pro was a ‘bad idea’ | Mudiay a pro, not a pioneer

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed but according to Bleacher Report, UnderArmour called it a “full partnership,” which appears to include sportswear in addition to the shoe contract.

Mudiay, who’s been pegged by many as the next Brandon Jennings or Steph Curry or Kemba Walker (the three of whom are, perhaps not coincidentally, already inked to deals with the brand), has yet to even play in a game at the college level. He never will.

The 18-year-old guard announced earlier this summer that he was not going to honor his commitment to play at SMU this fall; instead, he opted to turn pro and headed overseas to join the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China.

Assuming he stays healthy, Mudiay is sure bet for a Top-5 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
