North Carolina’s Larry Fedora, who just received a seven-year extension that should keep him in the Tar Heel State for a while longer, said after his team’s 45-37 loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game that he’s pulling for the Tigers to win the College Football Playoff.

“They’re the No. 1 team in the country and you’ve got to give them credit,” Fedora said, “and we’ll be pulling for them.”

Clemson will likely enter the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed and face either Michigan State or Oklahoma on New Year’s Eve. The Tigers capped a perfect regular season with Saturday’s win.
